I created a nice header for a client and wanted to upload it in WordPress for the client to see.  But instead of a new header, I got the WordPress error” unable to create directory …”  What happened?  Just a couple of weeks ago, everything was working fine.  Well, I did update WordPress to the newest version…  You can see where I am going, right?  The update changed the folder to where the pictures would upload.  That is why I got the error.  There is a simple fix for this error:

1. Go to settings in your WordPress dashboard.

2. In the settings, click on Media. Towards the bottom of the page you will see under the headline “Uploading Files”: Store uploads in this folder: [name of folder]

3. Click on the name of the folder and delete it.

4. Add the default folder: wp-content/uploads

5. Save the changes

That’s it!  Just go ahead and upload your new header and have fun with it!
