I was just listening to a recording from VAClassroom (I relisten to them often). Craig Cannings mentioned at the beginning of the session a book he just finished reading: “The next Generation Leader” by Andy Stanley. What made me think is the comment Craig made. He said, that a lot of business owners think that they need to be well-rounded – meaning they need to know a little about everything. He continued by saying that that is not the case, but they need to focus on what they do best. That in turn started me thinking: What do I do best?
Besides the skills I have, I think I am best at finding solutions and optimizing. For example, I look at a profile and with one look I can tell you what to change to optimize it. I do that already automatically when I look at any profile – it is second nature. Sometimes I need to do some prior work, like a keyword research, before I am happy with how a profile turns out.
I am also very good at finding solutions to any problem. I guess I am a “finder.” Even if I do not know how to do something, I will find it out and I will get it done. And I truly enjoy the process of finding a solution. I guess, that is why I like Social Media Marketing. You have to look at what is there, optimize it and find a solution on how to use it to your best advantage.
What do you do best?
